Meet Helen Zuleidy Anilú Hernández of Guatemala. The Rotary Club of Montague and Eastern PEI sponsors Helen and her family through a local Guatemala mission organization.
Helen is tall, thin, serious, and has a great desire to study. Next year she will be starting her education and will be in K4. Her parents say she will be happy to meet new friends.
Her father is Francisco Javier, who is 28 years old. He works as a nurse in a private hospital, and he has 48-hour shifts. Helen's mother is Orly Marleny, who is 29 years old and is dedicated to her home. Orly only studied up to grade 6, so it is not easy for her to find a job. Her little son is only 18 months old, and his name is Iam Daniel.
Their home has only one room and a space where they have their sink. The kitchen and dining room are on the second level. The house is built on land given to them by Helen's grandparents. And they also share electricity and running water services with them.
